This group is devoted to WW2 miniature wargaming and is an unofficial supplement for Warhammer 40K (3rd OR 4th Edition). Alternative Warhammer WW2 is a free fast and furious miniatures wargame system for skirmish (platoon) level WW2 battles, loosely based on a variation of Warhammer 40K game mechanics, and is intended either for players with experience with 40K who wish to expand their horizons into WW2 historical gaming, or WW2 historical gamers looking for a set of quick play rules. In AWWW2, each figure represents an individual soldier, weapon, or vehicle, and rules are fairly simple and playable, but with sufficient detail to please all but the hard-core gamer. There are numerous orders of battle (army lists) covering units of most of the major participants, a few sample scenarios, and supplemental (optional) rules and player aids that may be added as players see fit. All can be found in the FILES section of this group and are free to download.
